Our curriculum is designed to meet the diverse needs of learners at different stages of their academic journey. Being an IB school, we offer a continuum of programs that cater to early years, primary, middle, and secondary education:
As candidates for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP), Beacon Private School emphasizes inquiry-based learning and transdisciplinary themes that encourage learners to explore and question the world around them. From Pre-Nursery to Grade 5, the focus is on holistic development, including play-based learning, language acquisition (English, Arabic, French, and Spanish), and foundational competencies in math, science, and the arts. While we are not yet fully authorized, our commitment to the IB philosophy ensures that students engage in meaningful, inquiry-driven education aimed at fostering global awareness and critical thinking.
As candidates for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP), Beacon Private School provides an academically challenging framework for Grades 6 to 10, designed to foster critical thinking and real-world connections. The MYP curriculum spans eight distinct subject groups, including language and literature, sciences, mathematics, arts, and physical education. While we are not yet fully authorized, we emphasize service learning, encouraging students to apply their knowledge to positively impact their communities and develop a strong sense of global responsibility.
For Grades 11 and 12, the Diploma Programme (DP) provides a rigorous academic structure that prepares learners for higher education and life beyond school. With subjects spanning across six key groups, students develop a breadth of knowledge while specializing in areas of interest. They also engage in core components like the Extended Essay (EE), Theory of Knowledge (TOK), and Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) to round out their learning experience.
