Dear Beacon Community,
Welcome back! To begin, we are honoured to welcome the SEK Presidency to Beacon Private School during the first week of November. We hope your half-term break was refreshing and filled with memorable moments. As we embark on the second half of this term, we are excited to share the many exceptional events and initiatives we have planned to further enrich our Beacon experience. These upcoming activities will help foster our school community’s unity, wellbeing, and spirit of collaboration.
SEK Presidency to Beacon Private School during the first week of November. This significant visit will help us strengthen our ties with the broader SEK community and allow us to share experiences, gain valuable insights, and be inspired by the international SEK network. It is a meaningful occasion that will further enrich our educational approach and guide our vision for the future. This connection is a testament to our commitment to delivering world-class education and upholding the values that define the SEK family.
On November 9th, we are thrilled to host Community Day at Beacon Private School, which promises to be a fantastic opportunity for our entire community to come together. We warmly invite all families, parents, learners, and members of the wider community to join us in this celebration of togetherness. Community Day is all about socializing, connecting, and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere that defines Beacon. It will be a wonderful day filled with fun activities, food, and entertainment that will bring our community closer together.
Community Day is a key highlight in the school’s calendar, as it embodies our belief in building meaningful connections, not only among our learners and staff but also within the wider community that surrounds us. It is a day to celebrate the spirit of inclusivity, which lies at the heart of our wellbeing philosophy.
Throughout the month of November, with the support of the PTLA, Beacon Private School will also be recognizing Movember, a global initiative aimed at raising awareness around men’s health, particularly cancer-related issues. As part of our dedication to promoting wellbeing, this campaign will play an important role in fostering open conversations about men’s health, encouraging our learners to think deeply about their physical and mental wellbeing.
As we move towards the end of the term, we will come together to celebrate Bahrain National Day. This is a time to honor the rich culture and heritage of our beautiful country. National Day is an opportunity to celebrate our collective pride in being part of this incredible nation and reflect on the values that define Bahrain and our Beacon school community. Our learners will take part in activities and performances that showcase their creativity and understanding of the Bahraini culture, while we come together to celebrate the unity that makes our community strong.
The celebration of Bahrain National Day will also highlight our school’s ongoing commitment to the community and our desire to instill a sense of pride and appreciation for the culture and heritage of Bahrain in our learners. These celebrations represent another way in which we foster a sense of belonging, wellbeing, and unity among all members of the Beacon community.
As we progress through the second half of this term, we look forward to the positive experiences that await us. At Beacon Private School, the strength of our community, the emphasis on wellbeing, and our connection with the broader SEK network are at the core of everything we do. Together, we will continue to build an environment where everyone feels valued and supported, and where every learner is given the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive.
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events.
Warm regards,
Dinis Costa
